YMCA CareerUp Programme 

CareerUP is a career development programme designed for individuals aged 18 to 35, equipping them with the mindset, skills, and networks needed to thrive in today’s evolving workforce.

Through one-to-one mentorship, hands-on workshops, practical career guidance, networking opportunities and Financial Empowerment, CareerUP empowers participants to take charge of their career journeys and make confident decisions about their future.

Beyond individual growth, the programme cultivates a culture of giving back and a pay-it-forward mindset to support future generations.

Who is CareerUP for?

Profile

  • Singaporean / PR
  • Between 18-35 years old
  • Require financial support OR who may not be supported 100%
  • Currently enrolled in University Education
  • Especially welcoming final year university students

Assessment Criteria

  • Achievements & commitment ability
    (e.g. employment CCA / academic)
  • Minimum passing GPA
  • Per Capita Income (PCI) & Gross Household Income (GHI)

What is Pay It Forward?

Pay It Forward is about giving back when you’re able. Instead of repaying support upfront, participants contribute a small portion of their future income once they are working, using their progress and success to create opportunities for the next generation—building a sustainable cycle of support, responsibility, and community impact.
