YMCA 26th Charity Golf

Driving Youth Leadership Through Sport, Service and Community

Join us on 13 May 2026 at the prestigious Singapore Island Country Club (New Course)  for the YMCA 26th Charity Golf, a meaningful day where sport, fellowship, and philanthropy come together to create lasting impact.

This annual event brings together business leaders, philanthropists, and community champions who believe in investing in the next generation. Through a shared day on the green, participants support the YMCA-Lim Kim San Volunteers Programme, which empowers youths to grow into compassionate leaders serving communities in Singapore and beyond.

Every flight and every contribution helps open pathways for young people to lead with purpose and uplift those around them.

Driving Youth Leadership and Community Impact

The YMCA Charity Golf is more than a sporting event. It is a platform that connects individuals and organisations who share a commitment to strengthening communities through youth leadership.

Proceeds from the event support the YMCA-Lim Kim San Volunteers Programme, a flagship youth development initiative established in 2007 to nurture and equip young people to serve children, youth-at-risk, and youth with special needs.

Through structured training, mentorship, and meaningful service opportunities, the programme transforms volunteering into a pathway for leadership, responsibility, and and community impact.

Impact in 2025

  • Over 1,000 YMCA youth volunteers mobilised across YMCA programmes
  • Community service initiatives supporting children, youth-at-risk, and youth with special needs

Bridging Generations Through Technology

TechBridge is a youth-led initiative empowering seniors to navigate everyday technology through interactive workshops and game-based learning. At YMCA’s Youth For Causes 2025, the team earned the Volunteer Management Award for its people-centred approach to digital inclusion. With 80 volunteers, $2,017.56 raised, and over 8,500 people reached, their impact was clear—especially when a senior made her very first video call to her daughter.

From Reading Buddy To Role Model

Gin, a youth volunteer leader from Uni-Y (SMU), joined Readability to help children in YMCA student care centres improve their literacy. What started as simple reading sessions soon became meaningful connections. “I was surprised that just by reading with the children, they opened up and shared their stories,” she said. With mentorship and leadership opportunities, Gin grew into a confident leader who now mentors fellow volunteers while continuing to uplift the children she serves.

Small Lessons, Big Impact

In 2025, NTU Hall 10 volunteers spent two weeks at Pak Ou Primary School in Luang Prabang, Laos, supporting students and teachers through educational lessons and shared teaching resources. They also refurbished school facilities and organised a Sports Day, creating moments of joy and community spirit for the children. For Jana, teaching the children there felt deeply meaningful. "One moment that stayed with me was when a student replied “You’re welcome” after I thanked her—something we had taught in class. It was a small but heartwarming reminder that our efforts had made an impact.
