Highlights of YMCA Annual General Meeting 2022

The YMCA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in a hybrid format on Tuesday, 17 May 2022.

During the AGM, Mr Tony Soh, President of YMCA of Singapore, shared about YMCA’s various areas of work in in 2021. He also shared about YMCA celebrating its 120th Anniversary this year, with special events and promotions to commemorate this milestone.

The Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2021 and the YMCA Annual Report 2021 were adopted by the members.

Updates to the YMCA Constitution, covering the following areas, were also presented:

  • Membership Categories​
  • Board of Directors​
  • General Meetings, Committees, Office Bearers and Trustees​
  • Other Administrative Changes

Two members were elected to serve a for a second term on the Board. They are Mr Tony Soh and Mr Kenneth Tan.

Two members were elected to continue serving for a three-year term on the Board. They are Mr Ho Chee Hon and Mr Eugene Wong, PBM.

In the first Board meeting for the year 2022/2023 that was convened immediately after the AGM, the Board elected the following as Office Bearers for the year 2022/2023: Mr Tony Soh Cheow Yeow (President), Mr Kenneth Tan Chih-Sien (Vice President), Ms Loo Tze Lui (Vice President), Mr Teo Zi-Ming (Honorary Secretary) and Mr Samuel Chan (Honorary Treasurer).

The YMCA of Singapore also expresses gratitude to retiring member, Mr Adrian Tay, for his service to the Board.
